As part of Number day we designed badges linked to the mathematics we are learning. Then we filmed an I-movie to explain the Number Talks Subtraction Strategy- Adding Up. We shared our movie with other classes.

Today we were writing back to our penpals at Alexandra Parade Primary in Glasgow. We had lots of interesting information to share with them since we last wrote to them At Christmas time. I hope they enjoy receiving our letters.
We were looking at Global Goal 16: Peace and Justice and making links with our novel ‘Welcome to Nowhere’ and children’s and human rights.

An invitation-
The challenge was to build a sleigh and p6/7 worked collaboratively or individually to create their designs.
P6/7 created cards for their penpals at Alexandra Parade Primary, Glasgow and they were super excited to receive cards from their penpals.
Evaluating our learning through active maths in tiling with quadrilaterals, matching properties of 2 and 3D shapes, building models of 3D shapes, recognising and identifying angles.
