P6/7 Science
We were learning about the heart as part of our human body systems topic. The children investigated how long it would take to transfer 5 litres of water from one bucket to another as our heart pumps 5 litres of blood around our body a minute. We identified healthy choices we could make to have a healthy heart and made a healthy heart poster.
P6/7 RRSA outright campaign
To day we took part in Lesson 2 in the Unicef Outright Campaign. After watching a clip from Paddington we explored health systems so that children can experience their right to the best possible health, Article 24. The children investigated the terms linked to health and health systems and how we can protect ourselves against illnesses. We created a mind map of associated words and played bingo using health system terms.
