P6/7 led the warm up and games in PE.

During Literacy circles groups read Goodnight Mister Tom with expression and fluency as part of the ‘reader’ role.

As part of a reward for class Secret Student where pupils follow school and class values including SHANARRI they had the opportunity to participate in den building and sports.

As part of our topic on WW2 we have been learning about the campaign’Dig for Victory’ and rationing so the challenge today was to recreate a WW2 meal using natural elements. .

Today the class were measuring the area of shapes which they created on Geoboards.

We measured out  an area of 12m squared then created and designed the area as an allotment that might have been planned during rationing in WW2 when people were encouraged to plant their own food.

Exploring what life was like during Blackouts in WW2 and the rules you had to follow.

Creating questions from  Blooms Higher Order Thinking Skills to challenge our knowledge and understanding and question what we hear and see after watching Newsround.
