Today we had the opportunity to take part in measure activities using length, weight and capacity with p1.

p6/7 Health Week Den building
The challenge was set to build a den that the whole groupĀ could fit and make it like a home using objects and materials from the garden.
We had lovely surprise visitors to join us, Primary 1, who were able to join us in den building and share our picnic.
p6/7 Singing- Health and Wellbeing
What superstars p5/6/7 were at the Grand Hall as they sang with enthusiasm and enjoyment. A great opportunity to work with Scottish Opera and benefit from their expertise in performing the show The Last Aliens.

Today the football coach Callum came in to teach us some football skills and games.
p6/7 Health Week Soccer Aid
Today we took part in an obstacle race that was created by P4 as part of Soccer Aid linked to Article 31, the right to rest, relax and play even if barriers or obstacles get in the way.

Well done everyone for making it a successful day and lots of fun!
p6/7 Bake Off
p6/7 followed a recipe to make their ‘Terrific Truffles’ for the ‘Bake Off’ competition. The judges seemed to enjoy them, even going back for seconds!!

This week p6/7 have been learning about the digestive system in science and really enjoyed squashing up the food to recreate what happens inside our body as we digest food.
P7 visited the ECC to continue working with the children on STEM activities.
In maths we were using our skills of reading and writing co-ordinates to create a treasure hunt for other groups.
p6/7 Symmetry in nature
Today we went on a nature walk to look for lines of symmetry and rotational symmetry in our local community.
p6/7 King’s Coronation Day activities
We created placemats, completed a problem solving challenge, participated in games in the garden and finished off with lunch outside. A great day to remember!
