p6/7 King’s Coronation Day activities
We created placemats, completed a problem solving challenge, participated in games in the garden and finished off with lunch outside. A great day to remember!
p6/7 Community Litter pick
After a very windy King’s Coronation Day lunch outside our litter pickers were in demand. As a class we went out to the local field to pick litter and we filled 6 bags of litter! Well done!
P6/7
Today John brought in some samples of his delicious rock buns for us to try as part of our Bake Off Competition. They were as good as they looked!
p6/7 and ECC
P6/7 joined the ECC for STEM activities using playdough, bubbles in paint and BeeBots. Lots of fun for everyone!
P6/7 Science
We were learning about the heart as part of our human body systems topic. The children investigated how long it would take to transfer 5 litres of water from one bucket to another as our heart pumps 5 litres of blood around our body a minute. We identified healthy choices we could make to have a healthy heart and made a healthy heart poster.
P6/7 RRSA outright campaign
To day we took part in Lesson 2 in the Unicef Outright Campaign. After watching a clip from Paddington we explored health systems so that children can experience their right to the best possible health, Article 24. The children investigated the terms linked to health and health systems and how we can protect ourselves against illnesses. We created a mind map of associated words and played bingo using health system terms.
p6/7 JRSO
We created mascots for the Junior Road Safety campaign.
