P6 have celebrated Sport Relief 2025 through sharing their love for different sports, researching a Scottish sports person and sharing their information on an online poster on Canva.
We also took part in the House Sports Challenge where we completed different activities based on athletics and won lots of Ambition house points, and enjoyed watching some of our classmates take part in the staff v pupil netball match.

P6 have enjoyed all of their celebrations during Science Week 2025.
We were visited by Jill, Hannah, and Callum from GE Aerospace who spoke to us about the engineering of plane parts, Mr Pitman, one of the Dean Park Rangers who explored all about how to be a Dean Park Ranger, and the Strider WOW mascot.
Mrs Borland and the children from the ECC delivered a lovely lesson on how to recycle and two of our P6 girls delivered a lesson to the class based on climate change.

P6 have been exploring money. Today we focused on budgeting. Working in pairs, the children were given a budget and planned their own birthday party. The children calculated the total cost of their shopping list and deducted the total from their budget to see if they were under or over budget.

P6 pupils have been exploring their Scottish Landscapes topic at home. These pupils created a spectacular model of Goat Fell and Ben Nevis, wonderful pictures of Scottish mountains, and wrote a paragraph about Scottish lochs.

As part of our mini topic of Scotland focusing on Scottish landscapes, P6 used the laptops to research Scottish mountains.
After researching the most famous mountains in Scotland, we used an atlas to locate each on a blank map. We even managed to locate some familiar places like Glasgow and Edinburgh.
