P5/6 Secret Student Class Treat

Secret Student Class Treat

Primary 5/6 have been working hard as a team in class to demonstrate our school values of kindness, honesty, respect and ambition.

We have worked together and have  20 class points which means we have earned a class treat. We have chosen to watch a film and enjoy some popcorn and drink  in the afternoon of Friday 7th October.

Mrs Ross will provide some popcorn and juice but children can bring a small snack in with them if they choose to.

P5/6 have also chosen to bring a small cuddly toy with them too. Please just wear school uniform  as we will follow our usual timetable in the morning.

We are choosing our film in the morning. Please let the school know in advance if you would prefer your child not to watch a PG certificate.

Thank you

Mrs Ross

P5/6 Basketball

After an excellent warm up led by two of our superstars, we enjoyed learning some new basketball skills today.

We practised dribbling and shooting. We displayed great sportsmanship and encouraged and supported each other demonstrating respect on the basketball court.

A total of 30 amazing baskets scored between us all !

P5/6 PATHs – Health &Wellbeing

We love to give a compliment and to show kindness to each other. Promoting positive relationships within our classroom and celebrating each other’s  uniqueness

Every week we choose someone in our class to be our Pupil of the Week. We share with each other the things we like and admire about that person and then display this in our class for everyone to see.

P5/6 Teacher Take Over

Today we were  lucky to be taught by a very talented pupil in our class who was able to teach us the skills of animation.

We learned how to create a walk cycle and a squash and stretch animation.

Mrs Ross and Mrs Gallacher sat in on the lesson and learned lots of new skills.

Ask us and we can share our finished animations with you.

P5/6 School Values Assembly

School Values Pupil Consultation

P5/6 worked in groups to decide what values they thought were most important to them and to our school community.

As a class they voted on the 4 most important to them as : Kindness, Honesty, Respect and Equity.

Pupils within the class then created a presentaion to deliver at our whole school assembly explaining the reasons for our class choice .

We were very proud of how well our class representatives delivered our class ideas.
