Today we listened to a story called “The Great Wave” by Veronique Massenot.\u00a0 The story was based on a painting called\u00a0 \u00a0The Great Wave off Kanazawa<\/em> by Katsushika Hokusai<\/p>\n

We then\u00a0 used black pen to create our own\u00a0 line drawing<\/strong> based on the book and artwork.<\/p>\n

In the foreground<\/strong>\u00a0 we drew\u00a0 the wave and Mount Fuji in the background<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We then experimentaed with colours by\u00a0 mixing\u00a0 paints<\/strong> and then used a\u00a0 hot<\/strong> and cold c<\/strong>olour palette to create our own versions of Hokusai’s\u00a0 “The Great Wave”.<\/p>\n

We are very proud of our finished work, based on our topic “Natural Disasters”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
