The characters in our novel study love the outdoors and Noah knows the names of a wide variety of creatures in the woodland. He can identify them by sight, sound and even by what they leave behind !
Today we used our wildlfe sheets to identify minibeasts that we have collected outdoors. We sketched what we had found, looked at the size and colours and then identified the mini beast and labelled our drawings. We think Noah would be very impressed with our skills.
We have enjoyed learrning all about worms. We have written fabulous fact files all about these amazing creatures! Ask us all about what we have learned. We know lots of fun facts!
We created a wormery to explore their lives and investigate what they do underground.
We have been exploring numbers: investigating their place value, reading, writing and ordering them.
Today we challenged ourselves to create , 5, 6 and 7 digit numbers and then read them to each other. We added 10, 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000 to see patterns and investigate place value.
We enjoyed the sunshine on Wednesday and used our design skills, working in teams to build dens. We worked together to problem solve and make our dens stay up and big enough for everyone to fit inside. The strong breeze blowing added to this challenge!
We took shelter from the sun and used the monoculars to look at the widlife passing us by. We drew sketches in our notebooks and shared our findings back in class.
