P5/6 have achieved their Secret Student Class Treat
On Friday 24th June we will be having some popcorn, juice and a film in class to celebrate this success and class achievement. Everyone can bring a teddy, and a blanket/Oodie, if they would like to. Please bring these items in a bag (don’t wear them as we have Prize Giving in the morning).
Thank you and well done P5/6
Mrs Ross
Wow! We had an incredible teacher takeover session this afternoon where this talented pupil led a Scratch lesson for the class and supported the class in developing their coding skills.
Today was Thankful Thursday in P5/6.
We thought about all the things we are thankful for in Fenwick Primary School and then we wrote compliments to Mr Houston and Mr Risk.
We think we made them feel very happy with our positive comments. 🙂
On Friday 10th June we will be taking part in a Teddy Bear’s Picnic with our buddies from the ECC.
We will be outside in the playground in the afternoon and we need to remember to bring along our own teddies to show our buddy.
Today we listened to a story called “The Great Wave” by Veronique Massenot. The story was based on a painting called The Great Wave off Kanazawa by Katsushika Hokusai
We then used black pen to create our own line drawing based on the book and artwork.
In the foreground we drew the wave and Mount Fuji in the background.
We then experimentaed with colours by mixing paints and then used a hot and cold colour palette to create our own versions of Hokusai’s “The Great Wave”.
We are very proud of our finished work, based on our topic “Natural Disasters”
