We created different types of volcanoes – cinder cone, shield and Stratovolcanoes.
We then folowed the instructions to create a chemical reaction to imitate a volcanic eruption.
We decided that our reaction was like a pyroclastic flow.
Our final experiment was creating an explosive chemical reaction using coke and mentos.
We programmed Marty following a program in our workbook and then debugged the program so that Marty would follow the instructions.
We enjoyed free play programming on Scratch to create our own games
One group programmed Dash to move around the classroom , under legs and through tables.
Our last group used Code.org to practise their coding skills following the instructions to move through the levels.
Over the last few weeks, Primary 5/6 have working hard to consolidate their learning of weather in French. Pupils created a script in French to describe the weather in different locations in Scotland and at different times in the day. They then created a PowerPoint to show their forecast which they presented to the class. Bravo!
The rain didn’t stop Primary 6 from working on their skills for Bikeability this morning. We focused on pedalling, looking over our shoulder and cycling 1-handed while keeping our bikes under control and riding them safely.
