We joined the author Jamie Smart, live, on  Scottish Book Trust live authors. The pupils’ learnt to draw Bunny and Monkey and create their own cartoon strip.

P4/5 followed instructions for making slime out of corn flour and water. They were fascinated by the way it changed from solid to liquid then back again. The pupils’ wrote step by step instructions for others to follow on how to create your own slime.
As part of procedural writing in literacy the pupils made a jam or banana sandwich. They then followed this up by writing the instructions for it ensuring they had a title, sub heading, time connectives, bossy verbs and numbered steps.
As part of a homework challenge P4/5 were asked to create a presentation by Vicky McWilliam from the EAC Clean Green Award that could be presented to 32 local authorities at the ASSIST conference in Glasgow. The pupils created some outstanding presentations summarising all that we do in Fenwick Primary to reduce food waste.
Jessica, Ilaria and Lily came along to the conference and confidently delivered their presentation. Fantastic job!!
We had a great opportunity to be taught gymnastics skills by Miss Hutton from Loudon Academy. We explored the equipment and focused on developing our skills.
