We were lucky to have lots of visitors this week to talk about their role in their work place. Jill Hearns from GE Aerospace, Carol Kane from Vattenfall Renewables, Strider from Living Streets Scotland, Derek from Scottish Power Renewables and Howard from Dean Castle Country Park. The children from the ECC visited us to tell us about recycling and Primary 4/5 taught a lesson on Climate Change to ECC,P1, P2, P3/4 and 4/5. Then on Friday we joined a magic show all about Road Safety.
A great day designing book tokens, creating a cover for a book based on only hearing the blurb, reading in the garden, creating potato characters, swapping books and reading in a cosy space in the hall and meeting the Killie mascot with a story being shared too!

P5 were super excited to meet their buddies in the ECC. We went down to the ECC where they had the chance to meet, talk and play together.
For Valentine’s Day we created hearts from natural materials. We also made heart bookmarks to celebrate our love of reading.
Outstanding performances from our Scottish poetry finalists. Well done!
A great performance from P4/5 sharing Scottish dancing and Scottish poems. Well done!
P4 and P5 had a ball at the P4-7 Christmas Party on Tuesday! We had lots of fun playing games and dancing.

Today we explored Christmas activities in class; practised our songs then performed at the Christmas Fayre. Primary 4/5 you were brilliant!
Also, we have been very lucky to secure prizes of vouchers and gifts for our raffle at the Christmas Fayre. Tickets can be bought this Friday 6th December during the Christmas Fayre. If any local businesses or families would still like to donate prizes, these would be more than welcome (please contact the school to do so). We also have house coloured treat hampers along with a selection of other prizes that have been kindly donated by our pupils and their families that will be up for grabs!
