The pupils were all involved in measuring, sawing, drilling and cutting as we put together the Eco friendly greenhouse made with recycled bottles.

P4/5 World Book Day
A great day designing book tokens, creating a cover for a book based on only hearing the blurb, reading in the garden, creating potato characters, swapping books and reading in a cosy space in the hall and meeting the Killie mascot with a story being shared too!
P4/5 Award winners
Well done to all those that won awards at our achievement assembly. 👏
P5 and ECC
P5 were super excited to meet their buddies in the ECC. We went down to the ECC where they had the chance to meet, talk and play together.
P4/5 Eco Greenhouse
With the recycled plastic bottles that have been donated we drilled the caps to the wood then added on the bottles at the bottom. Next step is to thread the canes through the bottles. The children all demonstrated great technology skills.
P4/5 Community Waste Officers
The East Ayrshire Community Waste Officers came in to talk to us about recycling at home and in school. We were able to make links with what we are trying to achieve in working towards our next Eco Flag as part of the Clean Green Awards.
P4/5 outdoor learning
For Valentine’s Day we created hearts from natural materials. We also made heart bookmarks to celebrate our love of reading.
P4/5 Scottish Poetry Competition
Outstanding performances from our Scottish poetry finalists. Well done!
P4/5 Eco and Clean Green Award
We have cut the wood ready for our greenhouse frame. We have used our mathematics skills to measure and technologies to cut the wood.
P4/5 Eco Heritage Fenwick Weavers trail
Today we completed the Fenwick Weavers trail and learnt more in history about the Fenwick Weavers and the Covenanters.
