P3/4 have recently been learning more about 2D and 3D shapes. Today, pupils began experimenting with tiling.
Primary 3/4 had fun exploring fractions today.
P3/4 enjoyed learning about Scotland footballer Billy Gilmour. We learned about his life as a youngster in Ardrossan, which football clubs he has played for and watched some of his highlights. The class also had the chance to show off their own skills during a football challenge in the gym hall! Thank you to the RRS and Sports committees for organising all the fun!
P3/4 were so excited to receive replies from our Pen-Pal letters in Spain! We loved reading all about our new friends!
We had great fun this week with lots of different science-related activities! We learned about the lungs and the digestive system through some fun experiments and some members of the Eco committee taught us about climate change. Special thanks to all of our visitors who work in different scientific sectors.

Primary 3/4 celebrated Valentine’s Day by discussing what it feels like to fall in love with a good book. We then enjoyed reading our library books.
On Friday 20th December, Primary 3/4 are planning to watch ‘Saving Santa’ (rated U) as a class. Pupils are welcome to wear a Christmas jumper and bring in a small blanket and soft toy if they wish. Pupils should bring the same sized snack as they would on a normal day. Please inform the office if you have any issue with the film in question being shown.
