P3/4 undertook their litter pick of the community as we work towards our EAC Clean Green Award. Well done, Fenwick community, there wasn’t much litter for us to collect today!


P3/4 worked in small groups to create a fitness circuit focusing on agility and accuracy. Each group trialled their activity before the rest of the class got to rotate round all the stations.

 
 
We have started our topic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and yesterday we explored the history of chocolate. In groups, we had to order a timeline of the history of chocolate.

We predicted different materials that would be conductors and insulators and conducted an experiment to find out if our predictions were correct.
 
 
 
P3/4 have been learning about circuits and created their own simple circuit to light the bulb up.

 
P3/4 have been playing games to consolidate their vocabulary of animals in French. Lots of fun and laughter was had playing “Who am I?”
 
 
In the new year, P3/4 will be beginning a block of coding. To introduce them to coding, we had lots of fun completing the Hour of Code Grinch Stealing Christmas tutorial!
 
 
 
 
We used our numeracy skills to create a menu for a Christmas lunch to feed a family of 6 with a budget of £45. Lots of discussion and compromises had to be made to get in within budget!
 
 
 
We worked hard today to construct giant paper snowflakes to decorate the hall for the Christmas lunch and parties!
 
 
We have been learning about metalinguistics and using different reading strategies to help us work out what words mean in our story, A Christmas Tree Adventure. After we discussing and wrote what we thought the word meant, we then used a dictionary to find the definition.
