We worked hard today to construct giant paper snowflakes to decorate the hall for the Christmas lunch and parties!
Today we applied our measuring skills to measure the ingredients to make salt dough.
We used this dough to make Christmas Tree decorations, the dough will dry out over the next few days and then we will decorate them before taking them home.
P3/4 and Miss Galloway thoroughly enjoyed being able to go back to the pantomime this year. We laughed and had a lot of fun….Oh yes we did 😊
P3/4 reached their first 20 points for secret student. They chose to sit next to a friend and have a hot chocolate. It’s safe to say they enjoyed their treat.
P3/4 visited Hallhouse yesterday to spread some festive cheer to the staff and residents. They took some handmade cards and shortbread for them and were delighted to receive a selection box from Hallhouse.
P3/4 had a fun afternoon of maths. They had different activities to do linking to their knowledge of measurement.
Today we worked on a different reading strategy – Find it, Prove it, Talk about it. Before we answered the questions, we highlighted the keywords and phrases in the corresponding colour to help us answer the questions in sentences.
We have been learning about metalinguistics and using different reading strategies to help us work out what words mean in our story, A Christmas Tree Adventure. After we discussing and wrote what we thought the word meant, we then used a dictionary to find the definition.
No more homework will be posted on the blog until January, as we are aware of how busy the next few weeks are in preparation for Christmas,
P3/4 used team work and creativity today as they prepared their Christmas gift tags for the Christmas Fayre next week. They can’t wait to show you what they’ve been making.
