Literacy

Today the children were working on their phonemes and reading. We spend the afternoon doing activities to help us remember our phonemes we’ve looked at. We then had a spelling challenge to see who can write the most words using the phonemes. The children had lots of fun trying to beat the top score.

P2 – Christmas Fayre Update

Fenwick Primary School Christmas Fayre
Please see below a reminder/update regarding our Christmas Fayre which is this Friday.
We can’t wait to welcome our families along to join in the festivities.

Also, we have been very lucky to secure prizes of vouchers and gifts for our raffle at the Christmas Fayre. Tickets can be bought this Friday 6th December during the Christmas Fayre. If any local businesses or families would still like to donate prizes, these would be more than welcome (please contact the school to do so). We also have house coloured treat hampers along with a selection of other prizes that have been kindly donated by our pupils and their families that will be up for grabs!

Nativity

For the evening performance of Baarmy Bethlehem on Thursday 12th December all pupils should report to Miss Stevenson and Miss Jackson at 5.30pm at The Church Hall- not the Church. Parents can then make their way to the Church for the performance. Please note to go ahead with the evening performance it is essential all pupils attend where possible.

Children in need

The children made cupcakes for children in need.
Miss Jackson also got to call our “Bluey dance mode” where the children had to stop what they were doing and start dancing. It was lots of fun!

we then went outside for PE and played tig.

Today the children started to make their lanterns for light up Fenwick. We had lots of fun apart from getting glue all over our hands!

For literacy the children played the game “Bang” to help learn their common words. Some of the children even tried to beat Miss Jackson.
