Today the children worked together in pairs to practice their dribbling, passing and striking. The challenge was to try and beat Miss Jackson. Miss Jackson played in defence and tried to steal the ball off the children before they scored a goal! We had lots of fun and great team work.
P2 have been learning about different places around Scotland. This week we learned about the Kelpies. The children then coloured and drew pictures of the Kelpies.
The children completed different activities and tasks relating to addition. We used concrete materials and number lines to help solve our sums.
Topic
For our Scotland topic we learned about Edinburgh castle. We spoke about its history and the different rooms/sections that are in the castle. We had lots of great questions and discussions about the castle.
in PE the children practiced their skills of keeping control when dribbling the ball. We played lots of games and had challenges to test our skills. The children had lots of fun!
For reading we focused on the book “A Squash and a Squeeze” to introduce our find it, prove it and talk about it questions. We all really enjoyed sharing our opinions on the story.
Silly Miss Jackson forgot to give the last of the Nativity tickets out. If you purchased a ticket for nativity can you please come to the office tomorrow morning to collect. I will try and keep and eye out for you to pass them over.
Today the children were working on their phonemes and reading. We spend the afternoon doing activities to help us remember our phonemes we’ve looked at. We then had a spelling challenge to see who can write the most words using the phonemes. The children had lots of fun trying to beat the top score.
Fenwick Primary School Christmas Fayre Please see below a reminder/update regarding our Christmas Fayre which is this Friday. We can’t wait to welcome our families along to join in the festivities.
Also, we have been very lucky to secure prizes of vouchers and gifts for our raffle at the Christmas Fayre. Tickets can be bought this Friday 6th December during the Christmas Fayre. If any local businesses or families would still like to donate prizes, these would be more than welcome (please contact the school to do so). We also have house coloured treat hampers along with a selection of other prizes that have been kindly donated by our pupils and their families that will be up for grabs!
For the evening performance of Baarmy Bethlehem on Thursday 12th December all pupils should report to Miss Stevenson and Miss Jackson at 5.30pm at The Church Hall- not the Church. Parents can then make their way to the Church for the performance. Please note to go ahead with the evening performance it is essential all pupils attend where possible.
