The children made cupcakes for children in need.
Miss Jackson also got to call our “Bluey dance mode” where the children had to stop what they were doing and start dancing. It was lots of fun!

Today the children started to make their lanterns for light up Fenwick. We had lots of fun apart from getting glue all over our hands!
For literacy the children played the game “Bang” to help learn their common words. Some of the children even tried to beat Miss Jackson.
Children in Need is on Friday (15 Nov) and everyone is welcome to come to nursery or school wearing yellow, spots, Children in Need items and/or dress down.
The Rights Respecting Schools Committee have arranged a lot of fun activities for all the children from ECC to P7 to complete on this day.

P2 had a very busy week! P7 came into our class to host a quiz for the houses. The children worked together to identify the CVC words.
For bonfire night, the children painted fireworks. We used our skills of mixing colours to create our paintings.
For numeracy, the children have been looking at different ways to represent a number. We made number clouds to show all the ways we can make our number. We also started looking at addition.
It’s been lots of fun!
Reminder – This Fri 8th Nov is a dress down day . Rather than a donation of a £1 for dress down, we are asking for chocolate/sweetie donations for the Christmas Fayre.
The children played a board game to help discuss when they felt certain emotions. We used our listening skills to listen to others in the group when taking turns in the game.
Today the children were learning about mixing colours to make new colours. We had lots of fun seeing what colours everyone could make!

This morning the children were partitioning two and three digit numbers. The children used base ten resources to help them understand the value of the numbers.
For writing the children were describing the Big Bad Wolf. The children had great describing words in their writing. The children also practiced spelling their common words.
They all worked super hard!
The boys made a great castle for the friendly dragon.
