P2 PE

Today the children worked together in pairs to practice their dribbling, passing and striking.   The  challenge was to try and beat Miss Jackson. Miss Jackson played in defence and tried to steal the ball off the children before they scored a goal! We had lots of fun and great team work.

Numeracy

The children completed different activities and tasks relating to addition. We used concrete materials and number lines to help solve our sums.

Topic

For our Scotland topic we learned about Edinburgh castle. We spoke about its history and the different rooms/sections that are in the castle. We had lots of great questions and discussions about the castle.

PE and Literacy

in PE the children practiced their skills of keeping control when dribbling the ball. We played lots of games and had challenges to test our skills.  The children had lots of fun!

For reading we focused on the  book “A Squash and a Squeeze”  to introduce our find it, prove it and talk about it questions. We all really enjoyed sharing our opinions on the story.

Literacy

Today the children were working on their phonemes and reading. We spend the afternoon doing activities to help us remember our phonemes we’ve looked at. We then had a spelling challenge to see who can write the most words using the phonemes. The children had lots of fun trying to beat the top score.
