For PE P2 have started to learn about football. The children worked in pairs to practice their passing skills. The children used the captains pose to help them stop the ball between every pass. We had great fun!

Maths week
As it’s maths week the children have been doing different maths activities.
The children made tiling patterns with shapes and then went out on a shape hunt outside and inside the school.
The children were challenged to build the tallest tower only using 10 pieces of paper. The children worked together in groups and use their problem solving skills. They had lots of fun!
Monday
Phonics
This morning the children were learning their new sounds. They used magnetic letters to help make their words. The children also used some books from the library to see if they could find any words with the same sounds.
Numeracy
Today P2 were looking at rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and practising their number formation. The children used objects to group and then round to the nearest 10.
Art
Last week our class was visited by the Friendly Dragon asking us to help save Fairyland. Today the children created pictures of what they think the Friendly Dragon looks like.
Shapes
Today the children were looking at shape. The children were playing guess the shape with their partner by describing the number of sides. Then they matched the shape to the number of sides on the board.
Class Charter
P2 were writing and drawing about their chosen rights for the class charter. The children shared their ideas on what rights were important to them.
