P2 have been working hard learning their new phonemes. We used playdoh to help form our letters and completed a picture search of our new sounds.
For maths we have started to look at addition.

We have had so much on this week. P2 have had so many visitors to read to us for book week. We’ve loved hearing and sharing some of our favourite stories!
Today the police came to visit us with their horses. The children had to help train the horses so they were prepared for their jobs. We then got to pet the horses at the end before heading back to class.
Today we had lots of visitors to read different books to us. The children chose books and had them read to them. Mrs Millard even brought in some creatures to help tell the story! It was great fun.
The children made cupcakes for children in need.
Miss Jackson also got to call our “Bluey dance mode” where the children had to stop what they were doing and start dancing. It was lots of fun!
we then went outside for PE and played tig.
Today the children started to make their lanterns for light up Fenwick. We had lots of fun apart from getting glue all over our hands!
For literacy the children played the game “Bang” to help learn their common words. Some of the children even tried to beat Miss Jackson.
Children in Need is on Friday (15 Nov) and everyone is welcome to come to nursery or school wearing yellow, spots, Children in Need items and/or dress down.
The Rights Respecting Schools Committee have arranged a lot of fun activities for all the children from ECC to P7 to complete on this day.

P2 had a very busy week! P7 came into our class to host a quiz for the houses. The children worked together to identify the CVC words.
For bonfire night, the children painted fireworks. We used our skills of mixing colours to create our paintings.
For numeracy, the children have been looking at different ways to represent a number. We made number clouds to show all the ways we can make our number. We also started looking at addition.
It’s been lots of fun!
Reminder – This Fri 8th Nov is a dress down day . Rather than a donation of a £1 for dress down, we are asking for chocolate/sweetie donations for the Christmas Fayre.
