HWB: Friendships
Yesterday P2 and P3 were learning about friendships. We all made a leave for our friendship tree and discussed what we had written as we glued our own leave onto the tree. After that, we played friendship bingo.
Great work P2 and P3!
PATHs Pupil of the Day
Castles
As we are coming to the end of our castles project the children worked together to colour and paint different parts of a castle that we are going to build.
Brilliant work P2/3!
Castles Homework Project
Thank you to everyone that helped P2/3 create their amazing castles at home!
Fabulous work P2/3!
Science Week: LOST
Yesterday P2/3 had a visitor from LOST (Learning Outdoors Support Team). The children loved finding different bugs and looking at them through a microscope to figure out what they had found. We also learned how to use nets to catch butterflies in the better weather and how to catch bugs from bushes using a sheet.
Interesting work P2/3!
Science: Scottish Power
P2/3 had two visitors from Whitelee Windfarm who came to talk to us about wind energy. They showed us what they have to wear to climb to the top of the wind turbines to fix them. The children loved trying on the harness and looking at pictures from the top of the turbines.
Brilliant work P2/3!
Science: Colourful Magic Trick
Today in P2/3 we used kitchen roll to carry out a colourful magic trick. In the first picture it looks as though the picture has only been drawn with black pen but when we added the kitchen roll to water the colour appears. Ask your children how they did it!
Brilliant work P2/3!
Science: Chemical Reactions
This morning Miss Hosie visited P2/3 to teach us about chemical reactions. The children predicted what would happen when mints were poured into bottles of coke. Then we went outside to test our theories.
Messy work P2/3!
Topic: Scottish Castles
P2/3 imagined they were a knight defending a castle and created their own shield. The children had to think about the pattern they were designing on their shield and how this linked to their family and where they are from. The children loved painting and exploring different materials to use while creating their shield.
Fab work P2/3!
