Last week, in Primary 2/3 we were writing sentences to describe the Rainbow Fish. The children were challenged with using ‘wow’ words and openers in their sentences and loved writing on the tables! During the lesson, the pupils worked well in their groups and worked very hard to listen and follow instructions.
This week primary 2/3 enjoyed some more active tasks when learning about 2D shape. Pupils were able to describe different shapes detailing their properties using the correct vocabulary (curved/straight sides and vertices). They completed shape patterns on the Ipads, tiling activities using 2D shapes, created shapes using lollipop sticks and sorting pictures of real life objects into the correct 2D shapes. Additionally, some pupils were challenged with matching up properties to their 2D shape through a ‘loop card’ activity.
This week’s homework has now been uploaded to our homework page. This can be accessed by clicking the ‘homework’ tab on our class blog or by clicking the link below.
During numeracy yesterday, Primary 2/3 participated in a range of active tasks to revise number concepts. They then enjoyed travelling around the class while they practised skip counting in 2s and 5s. During this lesson, the pupils worked very well independently as well as with partners and tried really hard to listen carefully and follow instructions.
