P2/3 – Literacy
Literacy: Writing
This week we finished our procedural writing block. We made chocolate crispy cakes and then wrote our own recipe.

Technology: Laptops
This week P2/3 were practising logging on to the laptops themselves and typing their spelling words in Microsoft Word. The children were learning how to change the size of the text, the colour and the font.

Expressive Arts: Valentines Day
Last week P2/3 finger painted love heart trees for Valentines Day. The children loved getting messy with the finger paints.

This week during writing P2/3 were thinking about what instructions they would give someone who was making chocolate apples. After we had written our recipes the children loved making and eating some chocolate apples of our own!

Expressive Arts: Scottish Castles
This term our topic in P2/3 is Scottish Castles. The children enjoyed drawing their own castle and painting it using sponges. After painting we labelled all the different parts of our castles and build our own castles out of construction materials.

This term we have been working on procedural writing. Last week P2/3 were writing a recipe to make a jam sandwich.
The children loved making their own jam sandwiches too!

PE: Football
This term we are learning the skills to play football in PE. Last week the children were learning to pass the ball to each other and started learning to dribble.
