Outdoor Learning
\nThe Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

As part of our IDL topic we are focusing on the book called The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. Today we took our learning outdoors and discussed the different things that Mrs Grinling included in Mr Grinlings lunches. The pupils were able to identify the healthy lunch items and the not so healthy lunch items. Following this, they learned about different vegetables that can be planted at this time of year and how they grow. Pupils then followed instructions to prepare the soil and plant seeds (runner beans, carrots and parsnips) which we will continue to look after and harvest closer to the summer.<\/em><\/p>\n
