P1 have been finding out about symmetry. We have been learning about vertical symmetry and trying to create our own pictures. Some of the older children helped us make symmetrical faces and even made their own.

P1 Science Week Day 2.
Today we had lots of fun. We learnt all about worms – we collected worms from the field, read them Superworm, collected the materials we needed to make a Wormery and then made our own Wormeries with a partner.
P1 Science Week Day 1
Today we continued to study the brain and looked at mindfulness. We then drew a picture from a simple line or shape. Mrs Hosie then taught us about Chemical Reactions.
We also read Rosie Revere, Engineer. Learning about what Engineers do. We then designed our own buildings which had to stand by themselves and have an opening door.
