Primary 7\u00a0 have been learning about Shrove Tuesday and the religious beliefs and traditions behind it. <\/span><\/p>\n

We discovered that Shrove Tuesday is a Christian celebration that takes place the day before Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent\u2014a time of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0 explored how, traditionally, people would use up rich ingredients like eggs, milk, and sugar before the fasting period began, which is why pancakes became associated with the day. <\/span><\/p>\n

After learning about its meaning and history, we put our knowledge into practice by making our own delicious pancakes. We really enjoyed eating them too!<\/span><\/p>\n
