P5/6 enjoyed delicious Christmas lunch this afternoon.

P5/6 used macaroni shells to add direct speech to popular fairy tale stories.

Primary 5/6 went for a walk around the village to advertise the school & ECC Christmas Fayre. The children visited local businesses, which kindly agreed to display posters in their windows, and they also left some posters in village hotspots for the community to see.

Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils delivered a range of different activities to our Primary 2 pupils during our Leadership Academy ran by Lynsey Murphy.
The children created engaging stations which helped our Primary ” pupils develop different skills.
Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils developed their team building, communication, and leadership skills throughout this 5 week block.

P5/6 have had a great day celebrating Children in Need.
The children took part in a Pudsey scavenger hunt, played ‘Bear Pong’, took part in a Children in Need Blooket competition, coloured in Pudsey art, took part in a Children in Need workout, and carried out Challenge 25 where they worked in teams to build a Lego house for Pudsey.









Continuing our topic of Time, P5/6 pupils worked in pairs to explore and interpret information from a bus timetable.


P5/6 showed great ambition whilst carrying out different numeracy activities. Each child challenge themselves to complete trickier tasks and supported one another within their learning.

P5/6 had a great second session with Lynsey from East Ayrshire Leisure developing their leadership games through creating their own warm up game, explaining the expectations to the class and showing a demonstration to the class.


P5/6 had a amazing day celebrating Halloween through a ‘design Miss Cunningham’s Halloween costume task’, a spooky Halloween themed reading comprehension and £D artwork, finishing our day with a great Halloween party. 🎃👻


P5/6 worked in groups to order the events of the Titanic disaster to create a timeline. The children were against the clock and the winning team received 5 Ambition House Points each.
