P5/6 Hampden Trip

What a great day P5/6 had at Hampden.

The children took part in a football skills challenge focusing on developing shooting, passing, and dribbling. Well done to our P6 pupil for winning the shooting challenge scoring a whopping 46 mph goal.

We had a tour of the Hampden stadium, changing rooms, and referee room. What a great experience getting to walk through the dug out and stand on Stevie Clark’s spot at the side of the pitch.

Finally, we completed a quiz around the Scottish Football Museum focusing on our knowledge of the Scottish Cup and other football facts. We even managed to find some Fenwick tartan.

Thank you to Hampden and The Scottish Football Museum staff for delivering such an engaging and enjoyable trip for our pupils. We had a great time!

P5/6 IDL

During our topic “150 Years of the Scottish Cup”, the boys and girls in P5/6 developed their mapping skills by locating the football teams involved in the Scottish Cup on a map of Scotland. The children used digital technology, including an online map and an atlas, to find each team and then pinpoint their locations on a blank map.

P5/6 Topic

As part of our mini topic focusing on Christmas Around the World,  P5/6 pupils took part in an Escape Room activity. The children worked in groups to crack the codes, find clues, and decode secret messages.
