East Ayrshire’s Whole Class String Project is currently running in 18 schools across the authority allowing over 1300 pupils to benefit from fantastic music making. We have a fabulous partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Dumfries House which lets pupils continue to learn a string instrument beyond primary school. We have also been shortlisted for the Excellence in Early Years/Primary Music and Drama Award at this years Music and Drama Education Awards for the fabulous teaching and opportunities that this project offers.
