Well we didn’t think we would be back to online learning but the good news is that you can find lots of great music lessons here!
Every week I will be adding to the music lessons and this term we are looking at the following topics

As term draws to a close all of the YMI instructors would like to wish all the boys and girls , hard working teachers and East Ayrshire staff a lovely summer and hope that everyone has a restful break.

Delighted to announce that the East Ayrshire Whole Class String project won the Music and Drama Excellence in Primary/Early Years Music recently in London.
The Award ceremony was hosted by Alan Titchmarsh and Mrs Carrie was accompanied by Mrs Martin and Mrs Terras who tutor on the project and Mr Currie and Mr Leitch from Bellsbank PS and Dalrymple/Littlemill PS.
We are delighted to have won especially with other fantastic projects and resources also shortlisted.
Singing to Learn Learning to Sing was launched by Education Scotland and the Music Education Partnership Group in March 2018.
Here you can find a fantastic array of resources and hints and tips to start your class singing.
We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Excellence in Early Years/Primary Music Award at this years Music and Drama Education Awards.
The award is in recognition of our Whole Class String project currently working with over 1300 children in Auchinleck, Cumnock and Doon Valley Education Groups.
