{"id":292,"date":"2021-02-10T17:18:28","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T17:18:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/eastayrshiresupportteam\/?page_id=292"},"modified":"2021-10-08T10:22:20","modified_gmt":"2021-10-08T09:22:20","slug":"speech-language-therapy-nhs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/eastayrshiresupportteam\/partnership-working\/speech-language-therapy-nhs\/","title":{"rendered":"Speech &amp; Language Therapy (NHS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EAST has continued to collaborate with SaLT colleagues in a number of areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EAST alongside SaLT colleagues offer targeted needs led interventions for children with language delay or disorder within their base ECC or primary school (pre-school &#8211; P3).<\/li>\n<li>EAST alongside SaLT colleagues offer targeted needs led interventions for children with phonological delay within their base primary school.<\/li>\n<li>EAST alongside SaLT colleagues are rolling out Talk Boost at Early, Key Stage 1 and 2 through modelling and coaching to encompass classroom pedagogy and targeted interventions.<\/li>\n<li>Four EAST staff have completed Elklan trainer programmes with one EAST teacher delivering joint training with a Speech and Language Therapist (SAC). Three CA Coaches have attended Elklan training and identified links to current interventions. EAST and SaLT have continued to develop a targeted model of intervention and training for learners with phonological delay.
