\u2018Relationships are at the heart of high-quality interactions,\u2019 says early years adviser and author Julie Fisher. \u2018And you don\u2019t build good relationships with children unless you listen to them and learn more about them, and you have the potential to do both through a good interaction. If the practitioner that you\u2019re fond of listens to you and the news you\u2019ve got, or the story you want to tell, then that improves the relationship you have with them. And you are more likely to talk to them another time.\u2019<\/p>\n

We have developed some support resources around high quality interactions. When we are engaged in high quality interactions we need to ensure that we are always mindful of our responsibilities as duty bearers of upholding the UNCRC. There is support and advice in a pilot document and a pilot self evaluation from around this.<\/p>\n
