From September 2025, Educational Psychology training in Scotland is undertaken as a three year Doctorate in Applied Educational Psychology, taught at the University of Dundee.<\/p>\n
Applicants can come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including teaching, youth work and research, and must have an Upper Second Class Honours Degree or higher in Psychology. MSc Psychology conversion degrees are also eligible.<\/p>\n
Prior to September 2025, the training model consisted of a two year Masters Degree in Educational Psychology, also taught at the University of Dundee (and previously the University of Strathclyde), followed by completion of the Qualification in Educational Psychology (Scotland).<\/p>\n

In year three, four days a week are on placement.
