Shoebox appeal activity – We opened a light discussion about poverty and people less fortunate than us, and spoke with the children about kindness, caring and giving. The children then helped to pick items out of a bag & pack the shoeboxes, one for a little girl and one for a little boy. We discussed why we were putting each item in, and the boys and girls wanted to make their own pictures, cards and drawings to include in the boxes. We were so proud of the children’s response and attitude towards the activity, your children really are so kind and caring. Superstars, as always!! Here are some snippets of lovely comments we heard;

“I put hair clips in cos we’ve all got lovely clips, some for the little girl” – S
