Morning all ECC parents,
May has sent me some science activities for you all to try that she thought you would like.
28th Sarah’s Silly Soup Activity
Silly Soup!
Lets make some silly soup…
I’m going to make some silly soup,
I’m making soup that’s silly!
I’m going to cook it in the fridge,
To make it nice and chilly!
Now the rule about our silly soup is..
ANYTHING can go in it..
But the ingredients HAVE to rhyme!
Can you find things around your house that rhyme?
Grown ups, put together lots of items and see if your wee one can identify the rhyming words!
Your silly soup might have a cat and a hat in…
Or a duck and a truck!
Or a key and a tree!
Give it a stir.. How silly can your soup be…

27th Steph’s Soup Recipe for cooking
Hello everyone Steph here now as part of this weeks Friday Fun challenge of cooking a meal here is my veg soup recipe for you all.
Vegetable soup ingredients
4 carrots
2 onions
2 potato’s
1 turnip
4-6 chicken stock depend on size of pot
2 jugs of water
Method
Grate 2 carrots and place into pot
Chop the other 2 carrots into cubes place into pot
Cut 2 onions into small pieces and place in pot
Remove skin from turnip and cut into cubes
Repeat for the 2 potatoes
Once all vegetables are in pot pour in 2 jugs of water
Last of all break up chicken stock cubes or if using stock pots put into pot and stir through
Leave on high for 4-6 hours or slow 6-8 hours
Always remember when using sharp knives always have a grown up to help you
