Monday 11th Plans

Hello all ECC parents,

This is the learning plans for our day one of home learning that will begin tomorrow at 9.30am. I will upload the home learning ideas the day before so you know what you need for home learning that day to make it easier for you all.

Anything i upload from Twinkl is for you to print if you can, however i have tried to use materials that you can show then and do on a screen or recreate easily in person.

These activities are all to do at your own pace, with no pressure to complete all. They are to suit a range of learners in a variety of curricular areas with a mix of challenge for more able learners and simpler for younger children. If as a parent there is anything in particular you want please email myself and i ill do my best to do.

The structure and types of things i will upload reflects a typical nursery session, please remember 2-5 children’s learning is focused on play based learning, play and real life experiences are what children need at this young age to learn along with high quality adult communication and interaction!

The structure i present is to hopefully allow you some routine to your day….we would typically start with

  • Breakfast/freeplay
  • Welcome time which i will upload for 9.30 everyday which will get uploaded on a sway link with story/song/Makaton attached for that day.
  • Learning activities/play which i will upload the day before for convenience
  • Snack which i recommend to give you some quality time chatting and a break from learning
  • song/ Makaton which will get uploaded on a sway link
  • story/Makaton which will get uploaded on a sway link
  • health and wellbeing activity. which will get uploaded for the week on a sway link. Choose one a day.
  • Ask your child what they enjoyed let me know what they liked or struggled with. Take pictures. Send them to myself for the blog. Have fun. Play. Be kind to yourselves. Look after yourselves.

If there are any issues please let me know, and i would as always appreciate some feedback for parents about how you are finding our first week home learning to ensure you are happy with everything provided. Thank you so much love Leanne S x

Mrs Jingles the Elf visits

This is a small video showing the children receiving their gifts from Mrs Jingles the Elf on behalf of Santa! The kids had an absolute ball over the month of December. All visits were done in the childrenā€™s individual cohorts and they enjoyed their parties and the last few days of the end of term 2 celebrating all things Christmas and Festive!

Lainshaw ECC Virtual Christmas Concert

Good morning all ECC parents,

This is not how I would have imagined our 2020 Christmas concert would be shown to you all and we have certainly missed you this year within our ECC.

I do hope you enjoy this video of our AM and PM session children performing their chosen Christmas songs which they and the staff all worked so hard to do.

I wish you all from the very bottom of my heart the very best, happy and safe Christmas with your loved ones. It hasnā€™t been an easy year for anyone but we have all shown strength as a Lainshaw ECC team with staff, parents and children coming together to maintain some normality in an unknown and ever changing world just now. Thank you all so very much for the continued support you show to us all it truly means the world!

A huge thank you to my staff team – without these amazing girls I could not have did it without them. Each and every one of them go over and above to ensure the best learning, care and fun is always had with our wee ones at the heart of our centre and learning! Thank you girls for everything!

Now without further adue here is our Lainshaw ECC Virtual Christmas Concert for you all to enjoy ā¤ļø Have the very best Christmas to you all

The red and blue AM groups visit

The red and blue group went a very important walk Ā to have a socially distanced visit at Lochhead Court today to see some residents outside. It was filled with lots of smiles, waves and carol singing just what everyone needed to give some much needed Christmas cheer to all! Super job guys! We had some very happy residents today!
