Today Primary 3 had a great discussion about happiness. The children talked about all the things that make them happy.
The children had a great discussion all about when to use capital letters and full stops. Then the children had to correct sentences that had full stops and capital letters missing or in the wrong place.
This term, as part of our PE lessons, Primary 7 will be completing fitness circuits. The children will log their progress each week and this information will be used as part of work on data handling.
Primary three have been learning about the sun, moon and stars. The children enjoyed using pastels to create the sun and earth before using paint to add the moon. The children are now creating an astronaut to add to the picture.
Today the children were beyond excited to meet Marty the robot!
The children used Scratch Editor to put together blocks of coding which made Marty walk, dance, light up, whistle, kick, wave and even do the splits!
I was so proud of how well the children worked as teams. They supported each other and learned form each other. Amazing to see. Lots of smiles and laughter too.
Throughout the session the children will develop their coding skills and use their knowledge to solve problems with Marty. They will also have lots of fun at the same time.
Today we learned about colour mixing. The children should now be able to explain the difference between tints and shades.
They have painted beautiful leaves in tints and shades of their chosen colour.
They will make a fabulous display on the wall.

To begin the term, we will be revising and extending our knowledge of place value. Alongside this we will continue to work on the four processes (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), developing different strategies to answer problems in a variety of contexts.
Next, we will move on to rounding and estimating numbers.
