P3 have been busy learning about time over the last few weeks. They’ve made their own clocks and have been using them to help learn to tell the time. Super work P3!
There’s great excitement in P6 today as they have been called upon to sort out the chaos in the North Pole!The elves have lost their magic dust and the reindeer can’t fly!
P6 have been challenged to use balloons to power the reindeer and examine the forces that will push their reindeers to their destinations as explained by Sir Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion.
After looking at the design brief we have drawn annotated diagrams and created a shopping list of item’s we’ll need. Next week we will
begin to build a prototype to test and improve.
Don’t worry though, we’ll be following all the ‘elf’ and safety rules!
This term P6 have been learning about Substance Misuse: smoking and alcohol. They have been researching how alcohol and smoking can affect their body and the impact that the misuse of these substances can have on individuals, their families and friends.
Last week, Primary 5 delivered speeches on influential scientists Marie Curie, Alan Turing, Katherine Johnson, Annie Easley, Chien -Shiung Wu and Isaac Newton.

P1 over the last few weeks have been learning about sorting items. In Outdoor Learning, we created our own bar chart to show which was our favourite fruit! Strawberries was definitely the winner! We also sorted some of our outdoor learning resources to see which things we had the most and least of. Great work P1!
P3 had fun last week designing and making their own magnetic games. They made maths or literacy games using magnets to catch their animals or questions. Here are some of the games they’ve created. Great work P3A!
As part of our teeth and eating topic the children wanted to find out about animals teeth. The children worked in pairs to create a poster showing all the facts they had discovered.
The children have enjoyed using the Outdoor Numicon pieces when ordering and counting.
They’ve been busy counting, ordering and measuring indoors too!
