ECC STEAM Month

Dear Parents/Carers

Our STEAM month begins today.  The children will be taking part in learning which will focus on a specific area of STEAM each week.

I have attached some fun learning experiences that you and your children can do at home to support this learning.

Please share any of the experiences you do or if you have any other ideas on your child’s Learning Journal.  We love to see what the children are learning about at home, and they enjoy sharing their home learning with us and their friends!

Kindest Regards

Thursday Fun

There has been a hive of activity in the ECC today.
The children helped to make some cinnamon scented playdough, which generated much excitement and discussion as they watched all the ingredients come together.   There was fantastic turn taking skills as each child passed the bowls round to each other, ensuring everyone had a turn to mix the ingredients.

Some of the children told us the babies were sick so, we got the doctors kit out and the children enjoyed taking on the roles of doctors and nurses.  Poor Mrs Gray has had a lot of injections and had her reflexes checked a lot today!

They took part in children’s yoga at Together Time today.  They did very well, moving their bodies in various ways and practicing their breathing, deep breaths in and out.

This afternoon we had some authors, with children creating their own stories and illustrating their books.

Have a lovely evening
