French with Mrs Marshall and Camembear

Bonjour les amis, Je m’appelle Camembear.

Ca va?

Camembear comes to visit the ECC to help the children learn French.  He teaches the children some simple French phrases, tells them a little about France and some of his favourite things, he sings some songs in French with the children and on the last Friday of the Month we enjoy French Cafe.

Bonjour – Hello

Toc! Toc! Toc! Qui est-la? – Knock, knock, knock, who’s there?

Au revior – Goodbye

Bonjour les amis – Hello my friends

Oui – Yes

Non! – No!

Merci – Thank you

S’il te plait – Please

Ca va? – How are you?

Ca va bien? – I’m good/well

Ca va mal! – I’m not good/well

Comme ci, comme ca! – I’m okay!

French Cafe

At French Cafe the children have a French snack.  We provide them with different French baked goods each month such as: Croissant, pain au chocolat, crepes and brioche.

I hope you have enjoyed this insight into what your children learn during French.

Au revior,

Camembear

French Friday in the ECC

Today was French Friday!

At Together Time we sang our 3 French songs, we managed to get Camembear to come out of le sac magique – he can be very shy and we have to say some very special words to get him to come out to visit us, we practised the words we learnt last week and we learnt how to say ‘my name is’.

The words we are learning are:

Bonjour – Hello

Au Revoir – Goodbye

Oui – Yes

Non – No

Je m’appelle … – My name is ….

Comment t’appelle tu?  What is your name?

Please click on the link and it will take you to the songs that we sing at French Friday.
