Exploring Our Pumpkins

The morning and afternoon children explored the inside of our pumpkins today. They scooped using spoons and their fingers, discussing the feeling of the pumpkin flesh and seeds.

“It’s slippery.” “Feels like soup.” “It feels cold on the outside.” “The seeds feel hard.” “Feels like a bar of soap.” “It feels scary, spooky like a witch…it’s gooey.” “It’s a very deep pumpkin.” “Soft and wet.” “It feels soft, it’s nice.” “Pumpkin soup.” and the word of the afternoon was “YUCKY.”
