The afternoon children took part in a gingerbread science experiment. The children began quite tentatively slowly beginning  to work together, bouncing ideas about what might happen to the gingerbread person and why.

Here are some of their ideas: “An experiment, trying to see if the gingerbread would break,”  “They are happy…dip that one in,” “Soft ‘cos the soap is soft,” ” They will get wet…because it is in the water,” “I think they will get brown,” They will all melt and be chocolately…the soap will make them get squidgy,” “He’s swimming,” and “That one will get soft…that one is in the water.”
