Hi everyone!<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the ways children learn is through schemas. We focus on 7 different schemas within the 2-3 room, these are:<\/span><\/p>\n

Transporting<\/span><\/p>\n

Trajectory<\/span><\/p>\n

Rotational<\/span><\/p>\n

Enveloping<\/span><\/p>\n

Orientation<\/span><\/p>\n

Connecting<\/span><\/p>\n

Enclosing <\/span><\/p>\n

We have uploaded videos of an Early Years Practitioner talking about what each schema means and how you might see this in your child. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is important to note that not all children will be involved in schematic play, and that is ok. Some children can also be involved with more than one schema at a time and that is also ok. Each child is an individual and learns differently. Schemas only discuss how some children learn about the world around them.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have schema bags within the playroom for the children to explore to encourage more schematic play in our playrooms. <\/span><\/p>\n
