In P6\/7\u00a0 this week we learned how to do gradients in art.<\/p>\n

What we used: paint, watercolours, paintbrushes and paper.<\/p>\n
How to make:<\/p>\n
Step 1: Draw wavy lines up and down your paper (At least 5.)<\/p>\n
Step 2: Mix your choice of colour with black and start at the bottom of your paper.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Add your choice of colour and maybe some white paint and continue this until the top 2 sections are left.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Use watercolours for the last 2 sections then let it dry.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Use charcoal pencils to draw pine trees over the paint.<\/p>\n
Step 6: Admire your painting and you\u2019re done.<\/p>\n

Aidan and Liam<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This week we made <\/span>astonishing<\/span> pieces of art. Firstly, we started off by choosing our desired colour, then we had to mix that chosen colour with black to make it darker<\/span>,<\/span> t<\/span>hen white to make it lighter to make a contrast.<\/span> W<\/span>e then started to paint. W<\/span>e made different layers for the different colours. When we got to the top two layers<\/span>,<\/span> we used watercolours. We then used sponges to blend the colours to blend them together. After we finished, we used charcoal pencils to make trees.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jenna and Rein<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In P.E, Primary 6\/7 have been doing volleyball and have been learning how to pass<\/span>, dig and serve. They have been working in pairs and using a lowered net<\/span>. At the end of most <\/span>lessons,<\/span> they have been<\/span> playing a game that helps them to build fast reactions: this is necessary in a <\/span>game of volleyball.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sophia and Angel<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This week we completed some art. We painted it any colour we wanted.<\/p>\n Sophia coloured it blue and Angel coloured it red. We painted a gradient background and used black charcoal pencils to draw trees. It was so much fun!<\/p>\n In maths, we have been learning about equivalent fractions. Today, we moved onto finding quantity using fractions.<\/p>\n We have also started preparing for our Burn\u2019s celebration by learning songs and poems.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kelsie and Flori<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This week during art P6\/7 have made phenomenal paintings.<\/p>\n How to make the paintings:<\/p>\n Step 1: Draw five wavy lines (portrait).<\/p>\n Step 2: Select a colour (red, green, blue, purple etc.) you will need watercolours as well.<\/p>\n Step 3: Start from the darkest shade and make sure you leave two spaces at the top for the lightest shades.<\/p>\n Step 4: Let it dry.<\/p>\n Step 5: Grab a charcoal pencil and start to draw trees ( as many as you want!)<\/p>\n Step 6: Done!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" For the next few weeks, some of our blog posts will be written by the pupils of primary 6\/7.
