We haven&#8217;t had gym for a while now&#8230;so it&#8217;s time to wake up our bodies!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to start doing more exercises at home, because it will keep me strong and make me feel happy! Why don&#8217;t you join me?<\/p>\n<p>Remember we need to look after our heart and stay healthy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since it is Monday we will ease in gently! So lets get back to basics today with doing our warm up, developing our balancing skills, and a cool down. Then as the days go on, more ideas will be added&#8230;and it will feel like being back in the gym hall again!<\/p>\n<p>Lets start with a\u00a0<strong>warm up<\/strong>. We need to tell our bodies to get ready to exercise. Then it won&#8217;t get such a fright!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warm up<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lets stretch up and reach the sky<\/p>\n<p>Touch your toes<\/p>\n<p>Swing your arms<\/p>\n<p>Turn around<\/p>\n<p>Kick your feet<\/p>\n<p>Shake your feet<\/p>\n<p>Marching<\/p>\n<p>Hop on one foot<\/p>\n<p>Run fast on the spot<\/p>\n<p>Star jumps<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lets practice balancing!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How long can you stand on one leg?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lift one foot up and then back down, keep changing feet slowly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a challenge! Can you lift your foot out to the side \/in front of you and hold for the count of 3? Who is wobbly?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lets run on the spot, faster and faster!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Can you feel your heart beating yet? Well done! You&#8217;ve been working hard today. It&#8217;s time to do a cool down now. It&#8217;s important to give our bodies a rest too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cool down<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lie on your back like a star, breathing in and out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then curl into a ball and you can sing &#8220;See the little bunnies sleeping&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Hip, hip hooray, it&#8217;s time to get up and enjoy our day!\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Don&#8217;t you feel better after exercising?
