Sports Hall Athletics
We competed in the Doon Education Group heats of East Ayrshire’s Sports Hall Athletics in February 2026, competing in lots of activities including long jump, javelin, relays and obstacle courses. We won our heat and have been placed 8th across East Ayrshire! A fantastic achievement – well done to our pupils and thank you to our staff and Ross, our Active Schools co-ordinator for organising the event and supporting us!

Football Fun Factory Cup 2025/26
Our football team is entered into East Ayrshire’s Small Schools ‘Football Fun Factory Cup’ this session, playing a variety of home and away games against other small schools across East Ayrshire. So far we have played Netherthird, Logan and New Cumnock and we are looking forward to our next fixture playing St Sophias and Kilmaurs. Well done to all our players and thank you to Marc for coaching our team every week!
Cross Country Competition 2025
On Thursday 6th November, some pupils in P6 and P7 travelled to the Ayrshire Athletics Arena to participate in East Ayrshire’s annual Cross Country event. Congratulations to all our pupils who competed in the event. They worked hard to prepare and train for their run. They were a real credit to themselves and represented our school very well! We are very proud of you!
Swimming Gala – Tuesday 21st October 2025:
Our P5/6 and P6/7 classes enjoyed a swimming gala as their last session in their swimming lessons. They participated in a range of different races and events, with a fun swim at the end! A huge thank you to our Parent Council for organising the funding for the swimming lessons for our whole school, and also for providing the prizes which will be awarded at our assembly on Monday morning (27th October). We would also like to thank the staff at the Leisure Centre for their support as always and to Wendy for organising the afternoon!
We are delighted to have been awarded ‘Sports Scotland School Sports Award – Bronze’ in September 2025! We will continue our work this session to progress to Silver!
