The media texts may be\u00a0 newspapers or magazines, television or radio programmes, cinema films, advertisements, music videos or websites.<\/p>\n<p>Learners come to see all media texts as\u00a0 constructs, each made from the point of view of a producer targeting a\u00a0 particular audience. The course also develops planning and production skills\u00a0 using media technology. Learners reflect on their production experience and\u00a0 evaluate their own and the group&#8217;s strengths and weaknesses during the\u00a0 production process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Access 3 Media Studies Course is at SCQF level 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Access 3 level has no external exam. Students work through modules in class time, with some additional homework.
