Inclusive Schools

Our COM’s group has been looking at what an inclusive school, it is important to know that all our brains are different and we all learn in different ways. We have learnt about different learning styles and we answered some questions to see what our preferred learning style was.

We looked at a powerpoint from Dyslexia Scotland on what dyslexia is and how to support people who have dyslexia. We read a story Suzie and Cruzie which is about ASD and helped us to become Autism aware.

The group learned about our mascot Chef Jumble who was named this because sometimes people get letters and words mixed up. We created posters to share our mascot with the school.

The group worked on creating a logo for our inclusive school and the winning logo can be seen in the picture.

The attached photo’s are pictures of the children displaying their posters around the school to share about Chef Jumble our mascot for inclusive schools as some times people get letters, words and different things mixed up and that’s ok.
