Primary 4 had a great time learning a new routine at our ‘Danceathon’ this morning. They thought the dance coaches from Loudoun Academy were great. They have raised lots of money for their new laptops.
British Science Week
We have had a very busy week full of visitors who have taught us lots about different types of science and technology.
On Monday we were visited from a Whitelee Wind Farm Ranger who taught us about our senses. We also learned colours in Makaton.
On Friday we had lots of visitors. We started our day with Cheryl who spoke to us about the Water Cycle and Climate Change.
We were then visited by Neil McCallum from NXP who taught us all about microchips and drones. It was really cool.
Lastly we were visited by the Ayrshire Astronomical Society where we learned all about Space. It was very interesting. Continue reading British Science Week
Fair Trade Fortnight
During Fair Trade fortnight we have been learning all about the work of Fair Trade. To celebrate the work of Fair Trade we designed a new Fair Trade logo.
Model Making With Outdoor Materials
We worked in groups to collect outdoor materials. We used these materials to create a model of a Scottish Landscape.
French Farm Animals
We have been learning the French names for farm animals. We worked in groups to make snap and memory cards to help us remember our French farm animals.
Maths Outdoors
Primary 4 have been working hard at increasing their times table knowledge this week. They went outside and assessed their partners knowledge by creating calculations with chalk.
Making Thinking Visible
P4 used a Making Thinking Visible strategy called Micro Lab Protocol to share their news about their holiday this week. Ask your child about this thinking strategy.
